About Croatian Science Foundation
Croatian Science Foundation is an institution established by Croatian Parliament to promote science, higher education, and technology in Croatia by funding high-quality research projects and researchers through peer-reviewed evaluations, fostering international collaboration, and supporting young scientists’ careers.
HRZZ is responsible for the “Young Researchers’ Career Development Programme” enable scientifically active mentors dealing with internationally and/or nationally relevant topics to include young researchers (doctoral students) into their projects, thus channeling their careers toward top-notch science.
The goal of the “Young Researchers’ Career Development Programme” is to develop an integral and stable programme of funding young researches at the doctoral and post-doctoral levels. This Programme finances the development of scientific careers of young researches, striving toward continuous education and exchange of knowledge with the ultimate aim of creation a network of scientists whose skills can compete in the international scientific community.
In essence, HRZZ is Croatia’s key national agency for science funding and development, working to elevate the country’s research standing globally.
