The AttractAdria project celebrated its official public with an dynamic Opening Event in Split, Croatia on the 9th of October, 2025. Held alongside “The 6th Human Glycome Project Meeting”, the event served as a demonstration of the project’s commitment to collaboration, synergies and youth empowerment across the Adria region.
A strategic focus on cross-border collaboration
The AttractAdria Opening Event was strategically located in Split (Croatia) to reinforce the partnership between two neighboring countries: Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. By bringing together project partners, leading international researches, other EU-funded initiatives and youth, the event facilitated networking and synergies that define our research ecosystem.
Open discussions
Discussions were centered on utilising expertise from established EU environments to collectively elevate the regional landscape. A highlight of the day was an interactive session dedicated entirely to early-researches and young talents from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia. This moment of direct engagement was crucial, allowing the young professionals to openly share their current career challenges and insights into pursuing professional paths in personalised preventive healthcare. AttractAdria is built upon the principle of empowerment, and hearing these voices is essential for tailoring our training, mentoring, and support mechanisms effectively.
The successful launch event in Split confirmed the strong regional commitment to the project’s goals, setting the stage for three years of transformative work.
