About University of Mostar (UoM)
The University of Mostar is a public university which organises and conducts university studies, scientific and high-level work and develops artistic and technological creativity. With the pursuit of undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate education based on scientific, artistic and developmental research, the University’s task is to transfer the knowledge to the economy and society in general.
Its extensive structure includes 10 faculties offering over 140 study programmes, supported by a dedicated staff of more than 1,000 teachers and researchers. This impressive capacity serves a student body of approximately 12,000 students. This scale ensures that UoM provides a vast pool of talent, diverse expertise, and significant logistical reach, making its involvement absolutely critical to the project’s goal of strengthening scientific capacity and empowering a new generation of early-career researchers across the Adria region.
The University’s mission is best reflected through three basic features:
- Education which through the teaching and research process focuses on students in undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate studies, preparing them to be highly professional, self-motivating and productive experts in both their existing and future activities.
- Scientific-research work integrated in the education process at all levels in order to train new generations of researchers capable of operating and accomplishing in the international research market.
- The development of the community as due to educational, artistic and scientific research work, the UoM is the main agitator of the overall economic, cultural and social development both in the region in which it operates and at the national and international level.
